By installing or using the SecureDoc AI Bridge Chrome extension ("the Extension") or the SecureDoc web application ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Extension or Service.
SecureDoc AI Bridge provides document anonymization tools that allow users to replace sensitive information in documents with placeholders before sharing content with third-party AI chatbots (ChatGPT and Claude). The Service includes:
You may need to create an account to use certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You retain ownership of all documents and content you upload to or process through the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, temporary license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the anonymization functionality. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use it for any purpose other than delivering the Service to you.
While the Service uses automated entity recognition to identify and replace sensitive information, no automated system is 100% accurate. You are responsible for reviewing anonymized output before sharing it with third-party AI services. We do not guarantee that all sensitive information will be detected and replaced. Use of the Service does not constitute compliance with any specific data protection regulation (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.) unless independently verified.
The Extension operates within third-party platforms (ChatGPT.com and Claude.ai). We are not affiliated with OpenAI or Anthropic. We are not responsible for the availability, functionality, or policies of these third-party services. Your use of ChatGPT and Claude is subject to their respective terms of service.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from your use of the Service.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SecureDoc AI Bridge, its developers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may terminate your use at any time by uninstalling the Extension and ceasing use of the web application.
We may revise these Terms at any time by posting the updated version on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
